Last week I was with friends downtown walking and having lunch in the city. And after a late lunch we went to the office of one of the guys to have a work meeting to get some things organized and get serious. The truth is that we were a bit possessed by the wine and the drinks we had had and it was hard to work so we took a coffee and went to the terrace of the building to get some air and clear our heads a bit to let the alcohol go down.

When we got to the terrace I found an incredible view that filled my face with joy. You know when you have a smile on your face and you can't take it off. Well, that's how I felt. We sat down and started chatting, laughing and watching the beautiful Uruguay from there. As the afternoon began to pass, I started to get reflective and thought about how it is to look at things from above. How it feels to look at everything from a place of superiority where you feel that nothing can happen to you and below you everything is possible. That feeling that everything is better or easier being there, I think it must be real for those people who believe it and do not realize that it is just a feeling.

What is true is that being closer to the sky feels great. And the views from the height have another impression. They have another flavor. After a while of sitting there chatting and drinking our coffee, the sun began to set and we had the opportunity to see that hypnotic moment of watching the sun fall behind the horizon. In that instant when we all realized what was happening, an authentic and beautiful silence was created, where without anyone having to say anything, we were all left glimpsing that natural beauty that has everything to do with our roots. It is like fire, or like the sun hitting the water and forming a rainbow.

After we were able to contemplate that beautiful moment, we went back to the dialogue and that was the moment when we decided to go down to the office and we could talk about our work and reach a good conclusion as we did.

One of the points to talk about was that we should always go out and connect before or in the middle of the talk when we feel we need a break or something to refresh our minds and come back with fresh ideas and be really proactive as we were with this sunset looking at the sky and the river from this little terrace.

The truth is that having the opportunity to do what you like and do it with friends I think is the perfect combination to make everything unique. Because with friends is much better.

La semana pasada estuve con amigos en el centro paseando y almorzando por la ciudad. Y después de un rico almuerzo tardío nos fuimos a la oficina de uno de los chicos para tener una reunión de trabajo y organizarnos con algunas cosas y poder ponernos serios. La verdad es que estábamos un poco poseídos por el vino y los traguitos que habíamos tomado y se nos complicó trabajar así que nos llevamos un café y nos fuimos a la terraza del edificio a tomar un poco de aire y despejarnos un poco para que baje el alcohol.

Cuando llegamos a la terraza me encontré con una vista increíble que me llenó de alegría la cara. Viste cuando tenes la sonrisa dibujada en la cara y no te la podes sacar. Bueno así me sentía yo. Nos sentamos y nos pusimos a charlar, a reirnos y mirar desde allí la hermosa Uruguay. Cuando empezó a pasar la tarde me fui poniendo reflexivo y pensaba en como es mirar las cosas desde arriba. Cómo se siente mirar todo desde un lugar de superioridad en donde sentis que nada te puede pasar y por debajo tuyo todo es posible. Esa sensación que todo es mejor o más fácil estando allí, creo que debe ser real para aquellas personas que se lo creen y no se dan cuenta que es solo una sensación.

Lo que sí es cierto es que estar más cerca del cielo se siente muy bien. Y las vistas desde la altura tienen otra impronta. Tienen otro sabor. Al rato de estar sentados ahí charlando y tomando nuestro cafecito empezó a atardecer y tuvimos la oportunidad de ver ese momento tan hipnótico como ver caer el sol por detrás del horizonte. En ese instante en que todos nos dimos cuenta de lo que estaba pasando se creó un silencio auténtico y hermoso en donde sin que nadie tenga que decir nada, todos nos quedamos vislumbrando por esa belleza natural que tiene todo que ver con nuestras raíces. Es como el fuego, o como el sol cuando pega en el agua y se forma un arcoiris.

Después que pudimos contemplar ese hermoso momento, volvimos al diálogo y ahí fue momento en donde decidimos bajar a la oficina y ya todos más frescos, poder hablar de trabajo y llegar a buen puerto como lo hicimos.

Nos quedó como uno de los puntos a charlar que siempre pongamos esto de salir y conectar antes o en medio de la charla cuando sintamos que necesitamos un break o algo para refrescar mentes y volver con ideas frescas y ser realmente muy proactivos como lo fuimos con este atardecer mirando el cielo y el río desde esta terracita.

La verdad que tener la oportunidad de hacer lo que te gusta y hacerlo con amigos creo que es la combinación perfecta para que todo sea único. Porque con amigos es mucho mejor.
