Today I wanted to tell you about the awesome outing I had the other day! I've known a rock band for a long time that marked my adolescence, and due to life's circumstances, the band gradually faded away and ceased to exist, disappearing from the scene. So for a long time, whenever I felt like it, I listened to their albums from when I was a kid. As if by magic, two years ago, they reunited and released a new album, and this year they started performing at different pubs, small theaters, and other small venues to re-enter the scene as a new band, starting from scratch. So, I grabbed two tickets to come and see a very beautiful and iconic place in Madrid and Argentina. Now I'm going to explain how and why.

Cafe Berlin is an iconic café concert in Madrid where great music personalities have played, and a few years ago, they came to Buenos Aires to open a branch here with the same essence but with a Buenos Aires touch. When we arrived, the place was packed with people. Later, I found out that it was completely full. After waiting for a while because when we arrived at the entry time, they were doing a sound check, so the anxiety kicked in, but luckily when I was getting restless, they opened the door, and we entered.

The place is very intimate, and I really liked it, considering that for concerts, I usually go to big venues, and this space, I believe, couldn't fit more than two hundred people, with chairs and tables. We settled in a spot at the back and started talking about the band to calm our nerves haha, about which songs they played and which song would start the concert. (I didn't tell you that I went with a date, for now, it's just a date). I got hungry from the anxiety, so we ordered something to snack on and some drinks. She ordered a Cynar with grapefruit, and I ordered a Fernet, and for food, we got a nice platter with various cheeses.

We were surprised with a setlist that covered all their albums, and surprisingly for the better, it was a fairly extensive list, the show lasted about 2 hours and 15 minutes. From the first song, the concert's energy kept rising, and the people were very excited, you could feel in the atmosphere the good vibes they had and we on the other side enjoying with each song, remembering in the present time a band that came out of the shadows and returned to the scene. They were very happy to be there, and they made it known several times. It was a very interactive show where they were very expressive with us, talking about the band's intimacy and interacting with the audience, which created even more of an intimate atmosphere that never happens in big concerts and made it extremely special.

The guys really put on an incredible show, and we ended up having a very nice night singing JIJIJI acapella all together, it was a very funny moment. I recommend this venue to go see anything.

Hoy quería contarle de la salida genial que tuve el otro dia! Hace mucho tiempo conozco una banda de rock que marcó mi adolescencia y por cosas de la vida la banda se fue diluyendo y dejó de existir y salió del circuito así que durante mucho tiempo cuando me agarran las ganas los escuchaban pero eran los discos que escuche de chico. Como por arte de magia hace 2 años se volvieron a juntar y lanzaron un disco nuevamente y este año empezaron a salir a tocar a diferentes pubs, teatros pequeños y demás lugares así pequeños para volver al circuito como una banda nueva, desde cero. Asique agarre y saque dos entradas para venir a ver un lugar muy lindo e icónico de Madrid y Argentina. Ahora les voy a explicar cómo y porqué.

Cafe Berlin es un café concert icónico en Madrid en donde tocan y tocaron grandes personalidades de la música y hace unos pocos años vinieron a Buenos Aires a poner una sucursal acá con la misma esencia pero porteña. El lugar cuando llegamos estaba colmado de gente. Después me enteré que estaba completamente lleno. Después de esperar un rato porque cuando llegamos al horario de entrada estaban haciendo prueba de sonido asique la ansiedad apareció, pero por suerte cuando me estaba poniendo inquieto abrieron la puerta y entramos.

El lugar es muy íntimo y la verdad me gusto mucho siendo que para los recitales para mi suelen ser en lugares grandes y este espacio yo creo que no entraban más de doscientas personas, con sillitas y mesa. Nos acomodamos en un lugar al fondo y nos pusimos a charlar de la banda para bajar la ansiedad jaja de que temas tocaron con que canción empezaba el recital. (No les dije que fui con una cita, por ahora es solo una cita). De la ansiedad que tenía me agarró hambre y nos pedimos algo para picar y unos traguitos, ella pidió un Cynar con pomelo y yo me pedí un Fernet, y para comer nos pedimos una picada copada con varios quesos.

Nos sorprendieron con una lista de temas que pasó por todos sus discos y sorprendentemente para bien, fue una lista bastante extensa, el show duró unas 2 horas 15 minutos. Desde el primer tema el recital fue subiendo la energía y la gente estaba muy emocionada, se sentía en el ambiente la buena onda que tenían ellos y nosotros del otro lado disfrutando con cada canción recordando en tiempo presente una banda que salió de la sombra y volvió al ruedo. Ellos estaban muy contentos de estar ahí presentes y lo hicieron saber en varias oportunidades. Fue un show muy interactivo en donde ellos fueron muy expresivos con nosotros hablando contando cosas de la intimidad de la banda e interactuando con la gente eso creó aún más un clima de intimidad que no pasa nunca en los recitales grandes y lo hizo sumamente especial.

Los chicos la verdad se mandaron un recital increíble y terminamos pasando una noche muy linda cantando JIJIJI a capela todos juntos fue un momento muy gracioso. Les recomiendo este espacio para ir a ver cualquier cosa.
