Exodus 2:15-19
Last week we saw that Moshe (Moses) had killed a man and hidden his body in the sand. He feared what might happen to him when Pharaoh found out...
We continue today with Moshe saving some women and their flocks as he arrived in Midian. The movie made up the part about him becoming a slave and meeting his mother, then being banished to the wasteland and crossing the sandy terrain. The scriptures simply say that that Pharaoh heard about the killing and wanted him dead, so he fled to Midian.
With that, we see he arrives and meets the seven daughters of Reuel. He saves them from some other shepherds who came to water their flocks ahead of the Reuel's flock.
When the girls got home, Reuel was surprised to see them home so soon and asked what had happened. The daughters told him that a mitsree (an Egyptian) overcame the shepherds and drew the water for them. I guess they had help this particular day.
I like using captures from the old classic movie but they have added information and many details to it that do not appear in the writings of the Creator.

When Pharaoh heard of it, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and stayed in the land of Midian. And he sat down by a well.
Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters, and they came and drew water and filled the troughs to water their father's flock. The shepherds came and drove them away, but Moses stood up and saved them, and watered their flock.
When they came home to their father Reuel, he said, “How is it that you have come home so soon today?” They said, “An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds and even drew water for us and watered the flock.”
