Today I want to tell you a little about my visit to my friends' estate in Mendoza, but it is not just another visit, it is a different visit because it snowed and changed everything. Although the cold and the snow are not the best allies for the cultivation of the vine, the beauty of the landscape covered in white is something that cannot be described with words.

Upon arrival, I was greeted with the warmth and hospitality that always characterizes my friends. Despite the low temperatures, the vineyard had a special magic under the blanket of snow. The rows of bare vines, which would normally be full of green leaves and bunches of grapes, now looked like winter sculptures, each covered with a thin layer of frost. The contrast between the white of the snow and the dark brown of the branches was simply spectacular.

One of the things that impressed me most was to see how my friends have grown in their vineyard and wine project. I met them many years ago, when they were just starting out with this adventure. It was a dream they had and to see it become a reality has been inspiring. From the choice of land to the first harvest, they have put their heart and soul into this project, and the result is remarkable.

During my visit, I had the opportunity to tour the vineyard with them. Although the snow made walking a bit more difficult, every step was worth it. They explained to me how, even in winter, vineyard care is crucial. I learned about winter pruning, an essential process to ensure a good harvest next season. It is hard and delicate work, but my friends perform it with a passion and dedication that is admirable.

After the tour, we went to the winery. The contrast between the cold outside and the warm atmosphere of the winery was very welcoming. This is where the magic really happens. Seeing the barrels of wine at rest, knowing that each one contains the fruit of years of effort and dedication, is something that makes you appreciate even more each glass of wine you enjoy.

My friends told me about the challenges they face growing grapes in a climate as variable as Mendoza. Although snow is beautiful, it can also be a challenge. Frosts can damage plants, and you always have to be prepared to protect them. However, these challenges have also taught them a lot. They have learned to adapt, to innovate and to always look for the best way to take care of their vineyard.

That evening, we gathered around a table, enjoying a delicious dinner accompanied, of course, by their wine. Each bottle we opened was a testament to the hard work and dedication my friends have put into their vineyard. I was very proud of them and all that they have accomplished.

Throughout my stay, I was also able to enjoy other wonders of Mendoza in winter. The snow-capped mountains, clear skies and fresh, clean air made every day special. Every morning when I woke up, I would look out the window and see that breathtaking scenery. It was a constant reminder of the beauty and strength of nature. At the end of my visit, I left with a heart full of gratitude and awe. Watching my friends grow and thrive in their project inspired me deeply. Despite the difficulties and challenges, they have moved forward with determination and love for what they do.

Winter in Mendoza may not be the ideal season for growing grapes, but it is a time of preparation and hope. My friends showed me that each season has its own beauty and its own purpose. The snow, though cold and sometimes relentless, also brings with it the promise of a new beginning and a new harvest.

I returned home with indelible memories and great admiration for my friends. Their vineyard not only produces wine, but also dreams, hopes and a deep connection to the land and nature. Every time I enjoy a glass of your wine, I remember those days in Mendoza and the beauty of the snow covering the vineyard, a symbol of the challenges and rewards of hard work and dedication.

Hoy les quiero contar un poco sobre mi visita a la finca de mis amigos en Mendoza, pero no es una visita mas, sino que es una visita diferente porque nevo y cambio todos . Aunque el frío y la nieve no sean los mejores aliados para el cultivo de la vid, la belleza del paisaje cubierto de blanco es algo que no se puede describir con palabras.

Al llegar, fui recibido con la calidez y hospitalidad que siempre caracteriza a mis amigos. A pesar de las bajas temperaturas, el viñedo tenía una magia especial bajo la capa de nieve. Las filas de vides desnudas, que normalmente estarían llenas de hojas verdes y racimos de uvas, ahora se veían como esculturas invernales, cada una cubierta con una fina capa de escarcha. El contraste entre el blanco de la nieve y el marrón oscuro de las ramas era simplemente espectacular.

Una de las cosas que más me impresionó fue ver cómo mis amigos han crecido en su proyecto del viñedo y el vino. Los conocí hace muchos años, cuando apenas comenzaban con esta aventura. Era un sueño que tenían y verlo convertirse en realidad ha sido inspirador. Desde la elección del terreno hasta la primera cosecha, han puesto su corazón y alma en este proyecto, y el resultado es notable.

Durante mi visita, tuve la oportunidad de recorrer el viñedo con ellos. Aunque la nieve hacía que caminar fuera un poco más difícil, cada paso valió la pena. Me explicaron cómo, incluso en invierno, el cuidado del viñedo es crucial. Aprendí sobre la poda de invierno, un proceso esencial para asegurar una buena cosecha en la próxima temporada. Es un trabajo arduo y delicado, pero mis amigos lo realizan con una pasión y dedicación que es admirable.

Después del recorrido, fuimos a la bodega. El contraste entre el frío exterior y el cálido ambiente de la bodega era muy acogedor. Aquí es donde la magia realmente sucede. Ver los barriles de vino en reposo, saber que cada uno contiene el fruto de años de esfuerzo y dedicación, es algo que te hace apreciar aún más cada copa de vino que disfrutas.

Mis amigos me contaron sobre los desafíos que enfrentan al cultivar la vid en un clima tan variable como el de Mendoza. Aunque la nieve es hermosa, también puede ser un reto. Las heladas pueden dañar las plantas, y hay que estar siempre preparados para protegerlas. Sin embargo, estos desafíos también les han enseñado mucho. Han aprendido a adaptarse, a innovar y a buscar siempre la mejor manera de cuidar su viñedo.

Esa noche, nos reunimos alrededor de una mesa, disfrutando de una cena deliciosa acompañada, por supuesto, de su vino. Cada botella que abrimos era un testimonio del arduo trabajo y la dedicación que mis amigos han puesto en su viñedo. Me sentí muy orgulloso de ellos y de todo lo que han logrado.

A lo largo de mi estancia, también pude disfrutar de otras maravillas de Mendoza en invierno. Las montañas cubiertas de nieve, los cielos despejados y el aire fresco y puro hacían que cada día fuera especial. Cada mañana, al despertar, miraba por la ventana y veía ese paisaje impresionante. Era un recordatorio constante de la belleza y la fuerza de la naturaleza. Al final de mi visita, me fui con el corazón lleno de gratitud y admiración. Ver a mis amigos crecer y prosperar en su proyecto me inspiró profundamente. A pesar de las dificultades y los desafíos, han seguido adelante con determinación y amor por lo que hacen.

El invierno en Mendoza puede no ser la temporada ideal para el cultivo de la vid, pero es una época de preparación y esperanza. Mis amigos me mostraron que cada estación tiene su propia belleza y su propio propósito. La nieve, aunque fría y a veces implacable, también trae consigo la promesa de un nuevo comienzo y una nueva cosecha.

Regresé a casa con recuerdos imborrables y una gran admiración por mis amigos. Su viñedo no solo produce vino, sino también sueños, esperanzas y una profunda conexión con la tierra y la naturaleza. Cada vez que disfruto de una copa de su vino, recuerdo esos días en Mendoza y la belleza de la nieve que cubría el viñedo, un símbolo de los desafíos y las recompensas del arduo trabajo y la dedicación.
