A few weeks ago I was passing by the doors of this place, with my mother with whom we were having a drink in a cafe near San Isidro. When we passed by the door, she told me that this building is many years old and has a great history. That she had never been there, but that she knew from what she had heard over the years that the place is a beauty and that it has a halo of mystery that covers it and gives it a special touch out of the ordinary that we all relate to a guest hotel.

After this talk with my old lady, I wanted to know more about all this I had heard, and I set out to investigate more to find out what was behind those doors. The first thing I found was that it is a building and it is housed in a splendid late 19th century neoclassical palazzo, carefully restored to its original classical design and sophisticated elegance.

Guests of the Hotel del Casco can choose between the 12 spacious rooms in the main house, which retain their original grand proportions and are decorated with valuable antique furniture, or one of the 8 spacious Garden Suites with high ceilings and garden views. All rooms have crystal chandeliers and are always adorned with fresh flowers.

Each elegantly designed room at Hotel del Casco is a smoke-free environment and is equipped with Egyptian cotton sheets, LCD screen with cable TV, minibar and individually controlled air conditioning. The immaculate and luxuriously refurbished bathrooms offer modern hotel amenities and high quality bath products. The truth is that when I thought to look a little more I was left with my mouth open to find this, behind the iron gates that guard this relic of our hull in the party of San Isidro.

After seeing all this, it occurred to me to make a gift to my mother and spend a night in this beautiful hotel so well kept and with so much glamour that I know she loves these things. When we arrived, after check in we were escorted to our room. As soon as we opened the door the aroma of the natural flowers that they put in the room welcome you and pamper you so that you enter the room and want to give yourself to the experience of enjoyment. The room is really a pleasure, from the moment we cross the gate everything is pleasant and the brain enters a state of relaxation that is beautiful just for being there. The gastronomy of the place is very delicate, simple and straightforward and the comfort of this place and all its spaces are something that cannot be explained.

My mother enjoyed every little moment and for a while we told each other a love story as if we were witnessing stories that took place there. Highly recommended for all those who want to make a nice gift for someone they love very much. A relative, a friend, or someone you love very much and want to entertain to enjoy and live for a while in a fairy tale.

Hace unas semanas pasaba por las puertas de este lugar, con mi madre con quien estábamos tomando algo por un café cerca de San Isidro. Cuando pasamos por la puerta, ella me cuenta que este edificio está hace muchos años y tiene una gran historia. Que ella nunca había estado allí, pero que sabía por lo que había escuchado durante todos estos años, que el lugar es una belleza y que tiene un halo de misterio que lo cubre y le da un toque especial por fuera de lo común que todos relacionamos con un hotel de huéspedes.

Después de esta charla con mi vieja, quise saber más de todo esto que había escuchado, y me propuse investigar más para saber qué había detrás de esas puertas. Lo primero que encontré fue que es un edificio y se encuentra emplazado en un espléndido palazzo neoclásico de fines del siglo XIX, cuidadosamente restaurado revalorizando su diseño clásico original y su sofisticada elegancia.

Los huéspedes del Hotel del Casco pueden elegir entre las 12 amplias habitaciones de la casa principal que conservan sus grandes proporciones originales y se encuentran decoradas con valiosos muebles antiguos, o alguna de las 8 espaciosas Garden Suites con techos altos y vistas al jardín. Todas las habitaciones poseen arañas de cristal y están siempre engalanadas con flores frescas.

Cada habitación del Hotel del Casco diseñada con elegancia es un ambiente libre de humo y está equipada con sábanas de algodón egipcio, pantalla LCD con televisión por cable, minibar y equipo de aire acondicionado con control individual. Los baños inmaculados y lujosamente restaurados ofrecen modernos amenities de hotel y productos de baño de alta calidad. La verdad es que cuando se me ocurrió buscar un poco más me quedé con la boca abierta por encontrarme con esto, detrás de los portones de hierro que cuidan de esta reliquia de nuestro casco en el partido de San Isidro.

Después de ver todo esto, se me ocurrió hacerle un regalo a mi madre y pasar una noche en este hermoso hotel tan bien cuidado y con tanto glamour que se que a ella le encantan estas cosas. Cuando llegamos, luego del check in nos acompañaron a la habitación. Apenas abrimos la puerta el aroma de las flores naturales que ponen en el cuarto te dan la bienvenida y mimándote para que entres al cuarto y te quieras entregar a la experiencia del disfrute. La habitación es realmente un placer, desde el momento en que cruzamos el portón todo es placentero y el cerebro entra en un estado de relajación que es hermoso ya solamente por estar ahí presente. La gastronomía del lugar es muy delicada, simple y sencilla y el confort de este lugar y todos sus espacios son algo que no tiene explicación.

Mi madre disfruto cada pequeño instante y por un rato nos contamos una historia de amor como si estuviéramos presenciando historias que transcurrieron allí. Super recomendable para todos aquellos que quieren hacer un lindo regalo para alguien a quien quieran mucho. Un familiar, un amigo, o alguien a quien queres mucho y queres agasajar para disfrutar y vivir por un rato en un cuento de hadas.
