Today I want to share with you some pictures of my trip to Jaco, a very well known beach in Costa Rica. In this place I spent 3 days and the truth is that the beaches of this place are really beautiful. And on the last day I found out that there was an iconic viewpoint and I had not heard or seen it anywhere. So on the last day I said I am not going to leave this place without visiting it. So I found out the location and decided to go there.

When we arrived at the location, we had to leave the car from where we were and from there walk to the viewpoint. The trail is paved and very wide so it is simple to walk and has no difficulty, but it gets interesting, very interesting because it is really very steep and if you think you can talk as you go up the hill it ends badly like me. I underestimated the road because it was all very neat and I started to talk and nobody answered me. Then I started to talk to myself and I started to feel short of breath and in the middle of the climb I had to stop to recover for a few minutes before continuing.

The nice thing about this place is that the trails are covered with trees and plants everywhere. On the way up we find clearings of vegetation and you can see the trails and the sea in the background. As you get a little further along the trail you will encounter local fauna. For example, some monkeys I think they are called capuchins or many beautiful local birds. The truth is that the higher up the road you go the more rocky the road gets, which is asphalted because that road was for those who live there could go up with their cars, but after that house was abandoned and became a tourist place they prohibited the transit of cars and motorcycles.

When we arrived I found an imposing house, which more than a house I would say is an abandoned mansion that over time was filled with graffiti and for some reason no one ever lived there again. This large mansion was the house of a very wealthy family of the area that for many years had large companies in the area. Over the years after generations of that family had problems with the government at the economic level and companies began to fall so that brought serious family crises and when they realized they had to start closing companies and filing bankruptcies.

The truth is that these ruins remained and the place is really great. Besides having an incredible view and the place has a very special vibe, like relaxed and also at times gave me chills in some corners of the house. A place that I really couldn't miss and you all have to stop by if you are in the area.

Hoy les quiero compartir unas fotos de mi viaje Jaco, una playa muy conocida de Costa Rica. En este lugar estuve 3 días y la verdad las playas de este lugar son realmente hermosas. Y en el último de los días me entero que había un mirador icónico y no lo había escuchado ni visto en ningún lado. Así que el último de los días dije no me voy a ir de este lugar sin visitarlo. Así que averigüé la locación y decidí ir para allá.

Cuando llegamos a la locación, tuvimos que dejar el auto desde donde estábamos y de ahí caminar hasta el mirador. El sendero es asfaltado y muy amplio por lo que es simple caminar y no tiene ninguna dificultad, ahora lo que si se pone interesante, muy interesante porque es realmente muy empinada y si crees que podes ir hablando mientras subimos la subida termina mal como yo. Subestime el camino porque estaba todo muy prolijo y me puse a hablar y nadie me respondía. Entonces empecé a hablar solo y agarre me empezó a faltar el aire llegó un punto que en medio de la subida tuve que parar a recuperarme por unos minutos antes de seguir.

Lo lindo de este lugar es que sus senderos están cubiertos de árboles y plantas por todos lados. En la subida nos vamos encontrando con claros de vegetación y se pueden ver los caminos y atrás el mar de fondo. Cuando te vas adentrando un poco más en el camino te vas encontrando con fauna local. Por ejemplo, algunos monos creo que se llaman capuchinos o también muchas aves locales hermosas. Lo cierto es que cuanto más arriba del camino estás más rupestre se pone el camino, que es asfaltado porque ese camino era para que quienes viven allí pudieran subir con sus autos, pero luego de esa casa haber quedado abandonada y se transformó en lugar turístico prohibieron el tránsito a autos y motos.

Cuando llegamos me encontré con una casa imponente, que más que una casa diría que es una mansión abandonada que con el tiempo se fue llenando de grafitis y por algún motivo nadie la habitó nunca más. Esta gran mansión era la casa de una familia muy pudiente de la zona que durante muchos años tuvo grandes empresas en la zona. Con los años tras generaciones de esa familia tuvieron problemas con el gobierno a nivel económico y las empresas empezaron a caer por lo que eso trajo serias crisis familiares y cuando se dieron cuenta tuvieron que empezar a cerrar empresas y presentar quiebras.

Lo cierto es que quedaron estas ruinas las cuales el lugar es realmente genial. Además de tener una vista increíble y el lugar tiene una vibra muy especial, como relajada y también por momentos me dio escalofríos en algunos rincones de la casa. Un lugar que realmente no podía dejar de visitar y todos tienen que pasarse si andan por allá.
