A friend dropped me a message and asked me if I was free Friday night! She wanted to go see a band called ÁRbol. I said yes and off we went. The truth is that on Friday we went but I didn't go with expectations because I only know about the band, but practically none of their songs and nowadays it's a band that is not circulating anywhere. The truth is that I only went to accompany her friend!

So we met up and headed that way. When we arrived I found the first surprise and it was that it was not a theater but a café concert, for what you do not know, it is a place where people watch the show seated and with tables. They are small capacity spaces and are very intimate spaces. Besides bands, there are usually other types of shows as well, for example, one-man shows, comedians, philosophers and all kinds of shows.

We went in, got settled in our seats and my friend had gotten us some incredible seats, so the visual was tremendous. We ordered some drinks which added up to a lot. The drinks were delicious and we chatted for a while while the show was going on and people were settling in. The place is very warm and the truth is that I was surprised by the vibe it has. There are two bars on either side of the stage and one in front of it, and downstairs the whole room is covered with tables and chairs with a very nice bar at the back that served us very well!

The band surprised me very well! It turned out that there were many songs that I knew from my childhood hahaha so it's a pretty old band, at the recital talking to my friend told me that it is a band that was very successful in the 2000s but then they did not continue in the movement and were lost. It is a band that sings all kinds of music. They play cumbia, punk, chacareras, rocks and pop songs. The truth is that they are a group of 4 musicians of about 50 years old. In the live show they said that they had not played for a long time and that in 2022 they made a new album that they were very happy to have produced and that they were grateful to Javier Santaolalla because he was the one who produced their album with which they broke everything and became very well known at the time and today they are working again with him who summons them to do a new project together after 20 years.

The playlist went on and on and the people had a very good vibe and received the music very well. Each song made the atmosphere nicer and the people were letting loose and singing louder and louder each time. There were people of all ages, that was curious to me because being a band with little popularity and a band from 20 years ago, it was very possible that they were only more contemporary people and nothing more, but no. There was even a 12 year old kid. There was even a 12 year old kid singing all the songs. The truth is that the kids had a blast and they told us on stage that they were very happy to be back on stage, that they were very grateful to the people and that they had played two more dates in this same place and had sold out just like the first one we went to.

ÁRbol

Una amiga me tiró un mensaje y me preguntó si estaba libre el viernes a la noche! Quería ir a ver una banda que se llama ÁRbol. Le dije que sí y allí nos fuimos. Lo cierto es que el viernes fuimos pero no fui con expectativas porque de la banda solo conozco su existencia, pero temas prácticamente ninguno y hoy en día es una banda que no está circulando por ningún lado. La verdad es que solamente fui para acompañar a su amiga!

Así es que nos encontramos y fuimos para allá. Cuando llegamos me encontré con la primera sorpresa y fue que no era un teatro sino que es en un café concert, para lo que no saben es, es lugar donde la gente mira el show sentado y con mesas. Son espacios de capacidad reducida y son espacios muy íntimos. Además de haber bandas suelen haber otro tipos de espectáculos también por ejemplo, unipersonales, comediantes, filósofos y todo tipo de espectáculos.

Entramos, nos acomodamos en nuestros lugares y mi amiga nos había conseguido unas ubicaciones increíbles, así que la visual era tremenda. Nos pedimos unos tragos dato que sumo mucho. Los tragos estaban riquisimos y nos pusimos a charlar un rato mientras se venia el show y se la gente se terminaba de acomodar. El lugar es muy calido y la verdad me sorprendio la onda que tiene. Hay dos palgos a los lados del escenario y uno de frente. y abajo tiene todo el salón cubierto de mesas con sillas con una barra muy ubicada al fondo medio escondida pero linda que nos sirvió muy bien!

La banda me sorprendió muy bien! Resultó que había muchos temas que conocía de mi infancia jajaja osea que es una banda bastante vieja, en el recital hablando con mi amiga me contaba que es una banda que tuvo mucho éxito en los 2000 pero después no siguieron en la movida y se fueron perdiendo. Es una banda que canta todo tipo de música. Toco cumbia, punk, chacareras, rocks y temas pops. La verdad que son un grupo de 4 músicos de unos 50 años aproximadamente. En el vivo ellos contaron que hacía mucho tiempo que no tocaban y que en el 2022 hicieron un disco nuevo que estaban muy contentos de haber producido y que le agradecian a Javier Santaolalla porque fue quien produjo su disco con el cual la rompieron toda y se hicieron muy conocidos en su momento y hoy vuelven a trabajar con el que los convoca para hacer un nuevo proyecto juntos después de 20 años.

La lista de temas fue pasando y la gente tenía muy buena onda y recibió muy bien la música. Cada tema ponía más lindo el ambiente y la gente se iba soltando y cantando cada vez más y más fuerte cada canción. Había gente de todas las edades, eso me resultó curioso porque al ser una banda con poca popularidad y encima una banda de hace 20 años era muy posible que solo sea gente más contemporánea y nada más, pero no. Había hasta un pibe de 12 años cantando todos los temas. La verdad que los pibes la rompieron y contaron en el escenario que estaban muy felices de volver a hacer presentaciones, que estaban muy agradecidos con la gente y que habían puesto dos fechas más en este mismo lugar y las habían agotado igual que esta primera a la que nosotros fuimos.

Una noche hermosa con una compañía impecable. ¡Ella es lo más!
