It had been so long since I had gone to the countryside that I had already forgotten about it, and this time it was for something special. I went to my hometown, where I am from, to visit family and friends that I had not seen for a long time. But the engine of this trip was a friend who told me that he was looking to start a new personal project and I wanted to visit him to see if we could help with something and to eat some delicious things and share, always share.

When I arrived I found a big surprise, not only was I creating a very special space, but I was creating something that there is not in Argentina. A rural school. There is no school in the middle of the countryside where you can study literature or algebra or any of the regular grid subjects. But a school where they teach the work with the hands, the understanding of nature and the countryside for all those who want to have their own space to grow their own food, to have their own farm, for those who like animals too, but in a different way. Working! in the most advanced practical way. It is an experience where practical and theoretical hours are combined and everything is supported by your own work in the field.

When I arrived I found this great surprise. First of all the structures that were being built: huge sheds for materials, boxes for large animals, greenhouses and huge houses where all future students will live, classrooms and laboratories. It is really crazy. Besides, the project, which he is managing with a partner and lifelong friend of his, is growing with national universities, but above all with foreign universities. The teaching they apply is a biodynamic one where the fields proliferate by the biodiversity of those who collaborate with the micro-environment that is generated there.

It is a little long to explain in detail but basically it is based on a technique where the planting of several things simultaneously coexist, grow and feed all and each other so that there are no pests, loose animals that eat bugs so they do not kill plants and all that and at the same time coexist in a balanced way so that the balance exists and the soils are not damaged. It is also a way of not contaminating the soil without the use of any chemical products and everything is ecological, even the energy from the poop of the big animals is used to make fertilizer and energy for cooking and heating the common spaces in winter.

I was really crazy about the whole place and the many ideas that we are sharing. From my eyes many things came to my mind and the truth made me excited and motivated me not to stay still. The admiration for him and for what people are capable of when we are really convinced of what we want and that we are on the right path.

¡Hola comunidad de Hive!

Hacía tanto que no me iba para el campo que ya me había olvidado y esta vez fue por algo especial. Me fui para mis pagos, de donde yo soy oriundo, para visitar a la familia y también amigos que hace mucho no veía. Pero el motor de este viaje fue un amigo que me contó que estaba hace tiempo buscando emprender un nuevo proyecto personal y quise ir a visitarlo a ver si podíamos ayudar con algo y a comer algunas cositas ricas y compartir, siempre compartir.

Cuando llegué me encontré con una gran sorpresa, no solamente estaba creando un espacio muy especial, sino que estaba creando algo que no hay en Argentina. Una escuela rural. No hay una escuela en el medio del campo en donde estudiar literatura o álgebra o ninguna materia de la cuadrícula regular. Sino una escuela en donde se enseñe el trabajo con las manos el entendimiento de la naturaleza y del campo para todos aquellos que quieran tener su propio espacio para cultivar sus alimentos, para tener su propia granja de para aquellos que les gustan los animales también, pero de una manera diferente. ¡Trabajando! ósea de la forma práctica más avanzada. Es una experiencia en donde se combinan las horas prácticas más las teóricas y todo se subvenciona con el trabajo de uno mismo en el campo.

Cuando llegue me encontre con esta gran sorpresa. Primero que todo las estructuras que estaba armando: tinglados enormes para materiales, boxes para animales grandes, invernaderos y casonas enormes en donde todos los futuros estudiante van a vivir, aulas de conocimiento y laboratorio. Realmente una locura. Además el proyecto, que está manejando con un socio y amigo de él de toda la vida, está creciendo todo con universidades nacionales pero sobre todo con universidades extranjeras. La enseñanza que ellos aplican es una biodinámica en donde los campos se proliferan por la biodiversidad de los que colaboran con el micro ambiente que se genera allí.

Es un poco extenso para explicar en detalle pero básicamente se basa en una técnica en donde la plantación de varias cosas en simultáneo coexisten crecen y se alimentan todas y unas de otras para que no haya pestes, animales sueltos que se comen bichos para que no maten plantas y todo eso y al mismo tiempo conviven de forma equilibrada para que el equilibrio exista y no se dañen los suelos. Es una manera también de no contaminar los suelos sin el uso de ningún producto químico y todo es ecológico también hasta se usa la energía de la caca de los animales grandes para poder hacer abono y energía para cocinar y calentar los espacios comunes en invierno.

La verdad quedé enloquecido con todo el lugar y con muchas ideas que estamos compartiendo. Desde mis ojos vinieron muchas cosas a la mente y la verdad me emociono y me motivó a no quedarme quieto. La admiración por él y por lo que las ganas de las personas son capaces cuando realmente estamos convencidos de lo que queremos y de que estamos por el camino indicado.
