Exodus 8:29-32
We saw Far'oh (Pharaoh) arguing with Moshe (Moses) last week. It was about what a three day journey might mean and telling him to take the people just a little distance to go do the sacrifice. This week Moshe considers pleading Far'oh's case before God. "I only ask that you not cheat again by not letting the people go..." like you done for the last few plagues.
Moshe then prays for the flies to be gone and the passage says that they had ceased to exist. Then when the pressure was off of the Mitszraim (Egyptians), Far'oh went and v'yacheebed far'oh et leeboe (and he made heavy - Pharaoh - his heart) yet again, and he did not let the people go.
This is a repeating deception and Moshe seems to be turning the other cheek and allowing this powerful man to fool him once, and again. This ends the chapter and we will start chapter 9 next week.
Verse alignment did not line up at the end as the Hebrew text ends at verse 28 and the English ends with verse 32. The words are translated very well, almost word for word throughout, but the numbering did not end up aligning. Please know that if there is a translation problem, I will spell it out for you and give you the option of seeing what the differences are. The only ones I have seen in the previous chapters so far have only worked to eliminate wordiness with no change in meaning.

29 Then Moses said, "Behold, I am going out from you and I will plead with the Lord that the swarms of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people, tomorrow. Only let not Pharaoh cheat again by not letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord." 30 So Moses went out from Pharaoh and prayed to the Lord. 3i And the Lord did as Moses asked, and removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; not one remained. 32 But Pharaoh hardened his heart this time also, and did not let the people go.
